The Simple Steps to Cancel Your Kickstarter Pledge

Navigating the world of crowdfunding can often feel like charting uncharted waters, especially when it comes to managing your financial commitments. At Kickstarter, we understand that circumstances change, and there may come a time when you need to reconsider your pledge to a project.
Whether it's due to a change in financial situation, a second thought about the project, or any other reason, knowing how to cancel your pledge is crucial.
This guide aims to simplify the process, offering you a clear, step-by-step approach to withdrawing your support with ease, ensuring you can make informed decisions about your contributions on our platform.
While a project is still live, you can cancel your pledge by visiting the project page and clicking the "Manage your pledge” button on the right-hand side. From there, click "Cancel Pledge" next to the "Change your pledge" link.
Remember, a pledge can only be canceled while a project is live. If the project has ended and pledge collection has started it is no longer possible to cancel.
Additionally, it is not possible to decrease or cancel a pledge during the last 24 hours of the campaign if doing so would drop the project below its funding goal.
