Mat Blak founder Ken Marcelle on Black Masculinity and Becoming an Entrepreneur

Throughout February, we're spotlighting Black creators we admire and who inspire us through a weekly series of video interviews.

For the series' fourth and final interview, we speak with Ken Marcelle. Ken is a hair stylist, florist, curator, and the owner of Mat Blak, a salon and men's lifestyle brand based in Red Hook, Brooklyn. Ken ran a successful Kickstarter campaign that raised funds to secure a new location for Mat Blak.
