At Essen SPIEL this year, we’ve built a creator oasis for game makers. Stop by our booth to hang out, meet the team, get some crowdfunding advice and don’t forget to grab some of our new drops: a brand new limited edition enamel pin and Kickstarter’s first-ever roll and write game.
It’s that time of year again: Next week, Kickstarter will be back again in Essen, Germany as one of hundreds of exhibitors at SPIEL, the world’s biggest public fair for board games.
You can find the Kickstarter booth in Hall 5, Booth 5-G315 from October 23 through October 26.
What should you expect from us this year? What we do best: showing up in service of the game creators that help bring more play into the world and giving them the kind of care and partnership they can’t get anywhere else.
This year, we’re calling our booth a “creator oasis,” a space where creators can rest, recharge, connect with the Kickstarter Games team, connect with each other or check out the new enamel pin and game we’re debuting for the first time at SPIEL. Our creator oasis is intentionally designed to give you the respite and connection you need and the support you expect from Kickstarter. Stop by, hang out – our oasis is your oasis.
A big part of supporting our creators is giving them the tools that they need to be successful. To that end, we've created the first-ever Kickstarter roll and write game—a resource that helps the first-time game maker understand what it takes to successfully crowdfunding a game project—complete with dice. These are free to all attendees, while supplies last.
DM Dave, Papelchemy, and Jelke Ludolphij – creators from the games community – helped us bring this zine to life.
