You asked, we listened, and we will continue to listen when it comes to improving the overall experience on Kickstarter. The response to our Revamped Text Editor 2.0 launched back in September 2023 was incredible and we’re back again with another update! (cue the horns) 

Our goal is to help Creators bring their ideas to life with project pages that are visually appealing, informative, and engaging for their audience. With the newly refreshed capabilities of our Text Editor, we are bringing these features to the Updates tab on your campaign pages, making it easier for you to update your backers on your project's progress and keep them engaged throughout your funding journey.

Tips to create engaging and effective updates

To create engaging and effective project updates that will help you attract and retain backers, follow these tips:

Use high-quality images and videos. People are more likely to read your updates if they include visuals. Make sure to use beautiful images and videos that are relevant to your project and that will capture the attention of your backers. Avoid using blurry, pixelated, or irrelevant pieces of content.

Be You. Don't be afraid to let your personality shine through. Backers are more likely to support creators they feel connected to.

Keep your updates short and sweet. Think of this as a SMS or push notification to your community of Backers that they can easily view in the Kickstarter App.

Share exclusive content with your backers. Give them the updates you’d like to receive if you were eagerly awaiting your innovation. This could include behind-the-scenes photos, videos, or updates on your progress.

Track the progress. You can use campaign updates to announce new rewards, milestones and stretch goals, and to thank your backers for their support.
